About these website terms
These terms govern use of wiseglow.co.uk and the reservation service operated by WiseGlow Auto Ltd, company number 16698893, registered at 52 Rochester Road, Corby, England, NN18 8PX.
A reservation request is not a confirmed rental. Every rental remains subject to driver verification, insurer approval where required, vehicle availability, payment and signature of the vehicle-specific Rental Agreement. If these website terms conflict with a completed Rental Summary or signed Rental Agreement, the signed vehicle-specific document takes priority for that rental.
Reservations and confirmation
- Information submitted during booking must be complete and accurate.
- A quoted vehicle remains subject to availability until WiseGlow confirms the reservation.
- We may offer a comparable replacement where the selected vehicle becomes unavailable. You may accept the replacement or decline it and receive any refundable amount due.
- Prices, rental period, mileage, delivery, collection, deposit, excess and optional services are confirmed in the Rental Summary before vehicle release.
Driver approval
Only a person named and approved as an Authorised Driver may drive. Approval may include identity, address, driving-record, insurance and fraud-prevention checks. Meeting the published driver criteria does not guarantee approval; vehicle class and insurer requirements also apply.
- You must disclose relevant convictions, points, disqualifications, incidents, pending prosecutions, refused or cancelled insurance and other information requested during vetting.
- False, incomplete or misleading information may lead to refusal, cancellation, loss of insurance protection or recovery of losses where legally permitted.
- Driver requirements may vary by vehicle and are confirmed before the agreement is formed.
Payment, deposit and additional charges
The rental price and security deposit or pre-authorisation are stated before confirmation. A security deposit is security for properly due amounts; it is not a cap on liability.
- Additional charges may include agreed extensions, excess mileage, fuel or charging, late return, missing equipment, cleaning beyond normal use, damage, recovery, tolls, road-user charges, parking or traffic liabilities and reasonable administration charges stated in the Rental Agreement.
- Charges must be supported by the agreement and reasonable evidence. WiseGlow will not recover twice for the same loss.
- Card or payment details may be used to collect amounts properly due where you have authorised this under the Rental Agreement and applicable payment rules.
Vehicle use
- Use the vehicle carefully, lawfully and only for the agreed purpose and territory.
- Do not permit an unauthorised driver, race, speed-test, track, rally, tow, sub-hire, carry goods or passengers for reward, use off-road, overload, smoke or vape in the vehicle, or drive while impaired.
- Do not take the vehicle outside the agreed territory, open the bonnet, repair, modify, disconnect telematics or remove equipment without written permission.
- Keep keys and digital access secure and comply with reasonable operating and security instructions.
Handover, condition and return
The vehicle, fuel or charge level, mileage, keys, equipment and existing condition are recorded at handover. Report any omitted pre-existing damage before driving or within the reporting window shown in your Rental Agreement.
- Return the vehicle at the agreed place and time with all keys, documents and equipment.
- Fair wear and tear is not chargeable. New damage, contamination, missing items or unreasonable cleaning may be assessed under the Rental Agreement.
- An extension is valid only when WiseGlow confirms it in writing and any required payment and insurance approval are complete.
Accidents, theft and breakdown
Report any accident, damage, breakdown, theft, seizure, police involvement or warning light immediately using the contact details supplied with the vehicle. Do not admit liability, arrange repairs or abandon the vehicle unless necessary for safety or authorised by WiseGlow.
- Obtain names, contact and insurance details, vehicle registrations, photographs and police or incident references where safe to do so.
- Follow insurer and recovery instructions and complete requested incident documentation promptly.
- Call emergency services first where anyone is injured or there is an immediate danger.
Insurance and responsibility
Insurance is subject to the policy terms, exclusions, authorised drivers and excess stated in the vehicle-specific documents. The security deposit is not the insurance excess and neither automatically limits responsibility.
- You may be responsible above the excess where loss is uninsured because of breach, negligence, misrepresentation, prohibited use or an unauthorised driver.
- Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
- WiseGlow is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, but this does not affect remedies the law gives consumers.
Cancellation and termination
Cancellation, amendment, no-show and refund terms are supplied with the quotation or Rental Summary and depend on timing, vehicle and services reserved. A statutory 14-day cancellation right does not automatically apply to every vehicle-rental booking for a specified date or period.
- WiseGlow may refuse release or end a rental for material breach, non-payment, unsafe or unlawful use, dishonesty, loss of insurance cover or a material risk to people or the vehicle.
- Where WiseGlow cancels before handover for reasons not caused by you and cannot provide an accepted replacement, refundable sums paid for the unavailable service will be returned.
- Termination does not remove rights or payment obligations already accrued.
Telematics, privacy and property
Vehicles may use GPS, telematics, diagnostics, immobilisation or dashcam equipment for security, fleet operation, incident investigation and legal or insurance purposes. Remote immobilisation will only be attempted where WiseGlow reasonably believes the vehicle is stationary and it is lawful, safe and proportionate. See the Privacy Policy for more detail.

Complaints, law and changes

These terms and consumer rentals are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers retain any right to bring proceedings in another UK jurisdiction where mandatory law allows. We may update these website terms prospectively; the version supplied or made available when your agreement is formed applies to that booking.
